the best friend from primary school, that is.
yes. 11 years of friendship.
2 years of sitting by the science garden, listening to her debate with siti and dilah about who was better... fann wong or zoe tay. i didn't care because i didn't watch the drama serials.
7 years of how-do-you-do calls, short meet ups, visiting...
she had totally different ideals, principles...
which brought about countless of disagreements.
but she never got totally mad.
she understood that i cared for her alot.
i loved her.
i still love her.
and i miss her so much.
and now she's married.
and i find myself regretting i never made the effort.
to spend time with her. to check up on her.
and i suppose i could comfort myself by saying she didn't make the effort either.
oh, but it's just too late isn't it?
once the friends get married they don't really have time for old friends.
they're too busy with work and hubby and the in-laws and the parents and plans and commitments....
here's to you, babe.
saturday was let's go town day.
ate at lucky plaza.
he ordered ayam penyet. and i FINALLY got my mee bakso.
let's do the ayam penyet.
prior to saturday, i've only had ayam penyet from changi village.
lucky plaza's ayam penyet costs $5.50, and comes with vege and tahu and tempeh and tiny chicken/flour crisps.
changi village's ayam penyet costs $3.50 and comes with soup, vege, cherry tomato(es).
if you're looking for tender chicken, tear-jerking chilli and a nice ambience, lucky plaza's good.
but if you're on a tighter budget, you want bigger portions (of both rice and drinks) and better flavour, changi's better.
the cost of milo dinosaur in a considerably tiny glass was $2.
a mug of milo dinosaur at changi costs about $1.40.
i'd say i still love changi's ayam penyet. it's more berbaloi. :)
got the tip from ain, so i ordered mee bakso.
it was, so-so.
perhaps my expectations were very high.
it satisfied my craving, nonetheless.
:)
